Traditional Usage: Holy Basil, known as Tulsi in India, is an aromatic herb that has long been used in Ayurvedic traditional medicine for its wide variety of health promoting properties. As an adaptogenic herb, it reduces stress, calms, and relieves depression and enhances the body's resistance to stress including during infections^*.

Following the traditional use of Tulsi in Indian Ayurvedic Medicine, this Holy Basil Extract is a blend of three different plant varieties: Rama Tulsi and Krishna Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) and Vana Tulsi (Ocimum gratissimum). Herb Pharm's Holy Basil is certified organically grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, is carefully shade-dried, and is then thoroughly extracted. This Holy Basil is never fumigated or irradiated.
