October: Breast Awareness Month
You surely have heard that October is "Breast Cancer Awareness
Month". At the end of the Breast Cancer Marathon Month, we offer you a
different and refreshing look at Breast, a much healthier and the one
which is more fun. Read why it is important to use natural beauty
products and not to give in to the fear of having breast cancer. BBP
(Breast Beautification Project) - fun tips for a beautiful Breast.
Breast used to be a symbol of mothering, sensuality and artistic
inspiration. It has now become the symbol of a dreadful disease to
which women are exposed and puts them through mutilation and toxic
treatments. It seems like something has gone wrong somewhere in the
recent past.
The different sides of Beauty: glorious or ugly?
Everyone, including doctors and scientists, used to think that what
your put on your skin and hair is not critical because the skin is a
natural barrier and nothing could go through. However, the latest
research has shown that on the contrary, what you put on your skin
ends up in your bloodstream, same way as what you eat and drink and
breathe. This discovery prompted scientists to investigate the
presence of chemicals from personal care products as well as from food
and packaging, in the blood of thousands of people.
This chemical pollution of people's body is now called Body
Burden. Because what you put on your skin and hair can penetrate
your skin and ends up in your blood and body, it is important to only
use natural and organic products for yourself and for your
children. It is also essential to detox regularly. Find out more about
detoxification in our Fall
Detox article in this issue of Beaute
Naturelle. Toxic chemicals are an important part of the Breast
Cancer enigma, but there is more to it...
Breast Cancer: the Mind-Body connection.
With all the news, advertisements and statistics about breast cancer,
it's very easy to panic and be afraid of having breast
cancer. Especially if you are over 40 and if someone in your family
had breast cancer before, your are a "high risk of having breast
cancer". What you will not read anywhere is that fear and stress can
create diseases, including breast cancer. So here is a suggestion that
can save you a lot of trouble: because fear is the worst poison on
Earth, make it a priority to become immune to it. Remember that
statistics don't take into account individual's personal life and
history. Our simple 7 steps for a
cancer-free life can help you to live happily ever after. But
please, before doing anything change the way you look at your breast:
remember that breast is, before anything else, the ultimate symbol of
femininity.
Breast Awareness Care
Instead of telling you to monitor yourself regularly, go for a
mammogram or donate for a breast cancer research fund (lots of other
people are already telling you this), we invite you to get back into a
very feminine space and honor your breast for what it is: an artwork
of Nature and Beauty. Get out of the medico-scientific storm, which is
ravaging the relationship with your own body. Instead, concentrate on
health and do more for your breast: make it more beautiful!
You can dramatically improve your bust line all naturally with
specific beauty care and specific exercises. That is the best thing
you can do for yourself in this Breast Awareness month! Moreover, it's
fun as it is very rewarding...
- Beauty care for breast
A long lived recipe for a perfect and firm bust line includes Daisy
oil that is going to tone up the breast structure and blood
vessels. You may also want to use Jojoba
and Primrose
oils for their moisturizing, anti-aging, antioxidant and regenerative
properties. Use daily, one oil in the morning, the other at
night. Gently massage in with soft circular strokes until
penetration. You may also want to add a few drops of specific
essential oils like Geranium, Sage, Lemongrass or Spearmint for an
enhanced firming effect
- Exercises for a perfect bust line
The breast does not contain any muscle, so all the "breast"
exercises are in reality chest exercises: working on your pectorals
improves the tonicity of your breast. Remember to always wear a very
supportive bra when you exercise.
- Push Ups. They're not fancy, sexy, or cutting edge, and they don't
require trendy equipment, but they're still among the best chest
workouts around. Whether you do the traditional style, the "girl"
version with bent knees, or a standing against the wall version,
push-ups use your bodyweight as resistance to strengthen the chest.
- Pec Fly. If you work out at the gym, the pec fly machine is excellent for toning and lifting the breasts. At home, you can get the same results with a pair of dumbbells. Simply sit in a straight-backed chair with your feet flat on the floor, about shoulder width apart. Holding one dumbbell in each hand, raise arms to shoulder level with elbows bent. Push arms up and away from the body. Return to starting position.
" Short Range Chest Fly: Again, sit in a straight-backed chair with your feet flat on the floor. Holding a dumbbell in each hand, spread arms to each side, level with your shoulders. Continuing to hold arms at shoulder height, bend elbows and bring wrists toward your chest. Hold about 2 seconds before returning to the starting position.
